My main image will be of a girl model called Alex ruse it will be taken in New Brighton beach. The model will be wearing skinny jeans brown shoes and a jumper; she will also be holding a guitar.  The picture will have a background of the sea and sky.

      There will be images surrounding my contents page they will be images to do with certain feature articles for example “fools on parade how we started” i will then have a picture of them on the contents page with a page number in the left corner.  I will also include the title of my magazine the date and an issue number.

     

    For my double page spread I will have my article and images of the lead singer of foosl on parade Jack coggins.

Inital Ideas

The type of music magazine I am going to produce is an Indie magazine. The target audiance for my magazine is age 16 - 26 .

What are the strength and weaknesses of both the product and your use of new media technologies

How did you use new media technologies in the construction of your media product

First of all I took photographs using a digital camera. I found this easy because I use digital camera in my spare time. I took many photos to use for my front cover, however I came to the conclusion of using a picture of a sixthform student standing in front of a vibrant background, for good mise-en-scene. I also took photos with a digital camera for my contents page. I then went on to use Photoshop to develop my front cover I found it relatively easy as I have used it before when doing my GCSE in media. The tools I used on photoshop were the 'typing tool'  which let me insert text and the 'image' tool which let me import photos. When editing my contents page I used Quark. I found this software much harder than any other program I have been challenged with so far. I had to resize my image and position it so that it would fit with my text. I used a presentation website called 'prezi'. This is a zooming presentation tool which makes the audience interact more with the work and, I felt, was very effective. I found this very hard to get used to at first, but now I feel more confident with it. I also used 'slideshare'. This is a website which allows users to upload microsoft presentation documents. I found this website very straight forward and simple to use.

Production of school magazine front cover and contents page

This is my final design I made some changes to my rough sketch. Such as the price and date was originally in the top right hand corner and on my final design I put it in the bottom left hand corner I did this because I wanted the tittle to be by itself. I also didn't include " do you want to be the smartest kid in school? " because I didn't think it was a good cover line. 

 

 

 

 

This is my final design of my contents page I only made one change compared to my rough sketch and that was adding the page number onto the images.
